Infomed has become a trusted provider of medical courses, helping delegates earn CPD points and grow in their specialties. Over the years, we have explored various avenues to deliver high-quality training, leading to the evolution of Infomed’s medical courses. What began as in-person sessions has shifted into a flexible online format. Infomed courses are now accessible to medical consultants from anywhere in the world.
In this blog, we’ll go through how Infomed’s medical courses have changed since the company’s foundations in 2004.
2004
in 2004, the company was founded and started delivering courses in emergency medicine, anaesthesia and intensive care consultants. Infomed quickly moved into other markets such as paediatrics, psychiatry and radiology. Initially, we delivered courses at our London venues.
2006
We expanded our portfolio with ultrasound courses, including the Ultrasound Finishing School, and later added offerings for specialties such as Intensive Care, Anaesthesia, and Radiology.
Later in the year, Infomed became the primary provider of ultrasound courses, which ran regularly until the pandemic.
2014
Infomed acquired 24 iMacs and launched imaging-based practical courses for radiologists and EM consultants, establishing a cornerstone for the company and inspiring new offerings in the field. During this time, faculty and delegates met in venues to run the courses, creating a great environment for hands-on learning and collaboration.
2020
However, the pandemic challenged Infomed to adapt quickly, which led to a swift transformation of our training model from face-to-face to online webinars within weeks, all thanks to the support of our faculty.
In response to the pandemic, we initially hosted 3 webinars and 12 nightly psychiatry sessions focused on managing COVID-19 patients. As the situation progressed, we expanded our offerings to include webinars for paediatricians, radiologists, and intensivist training.
2025 - Present day
The evolution of Infomed’s medical courses has been a period of growth, challenges, and success. We are proud to have achieved this transformation together with our faculty, despite the social and financial pressures of the pandemic.
From humble beginnings to becoming a leader in medical education both in the UK and abroad, we remain committed to empowering medical professionals with the knowledge and skills they need. As a result, we continue to innovate and evolve our courses, ensuring they meet the ever-changing demands of healthcare education.
Currently, we run approximately 45 courses yearly, each tailored to meet the evolving needs of medical consultants.
