Infomed has delivered courses for thousands of medical consultants including Consultants, STs, SASGs, not just at our London venues but, most recently, across the globe through our live and on-demand webinars.

Meet The Team
Luis Macchiavello - Director & Founder
Luis Macchiavello is the Director and Founder of Infomed Research and Training Limited, a role he has held since establishing the company in August 2004.
In 2021, Luis earned a Master’s degree in Catholic Social Teaching and is currently pursuing a PhD in Theology at St Mary’s University in Twickenham, London.
From February 1992 to August 2004, Luis served as the Director of Infolog Limited, a London-based company that collaborated with central government and local authorities to organise national policy seminars and forums. These initiatives addressed public policy, human rights, policing, social and education services, as well as issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers.
Before 1992, Luis held several key roles in both the private sector and local government, including:
- Local Government Business Development Manager at Wang Computers, a U.S.-based company operating in the UK, where he oversaw the delivery of computer business solutions for local government.
- Principal Business Analyst at the London Borough of Lambeth, leading a team of system analysts and programmers to develop computer solutions for social services, housing, education, and finance.
- Business Analyst at Fife Regional Council in Scotland, where he worked with various departments—including social services, finance, education, and police—to define and implement their computer requirements.
Luis’s remarkable journey began in 1974 when he arrived in Glasgow as a political refugee, following a year of political imprisonment after the 1973 military coup led by General Pinochet in Chile. His resettlement was supported by World University Service and Amnesty International, enabling him to resume his education in Scotland. Luis went on to earn an Honours degree in Mathematics from the University of Stirling and later worked as a Research Assistant at the Health Services Operational Research Unit at Strathclyde University in Glasgow.
Jack Hodson - Online & IT Services Manager
I’ve been with Infomed since its inception in 2004, following a career in the computer retail industry. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience in planning and implementing IT-driven projects. I’ve played a key role in addressing various IT challenges at Infomed, including the successful transition to online medical training, which has enabled global access to our live and on-demand courses.
I am deeply committed to delivering exceptional service to our faculty and delegates; ensuring their satisfaction is always my priority and remains at the heart of Infomed’s mission.
To further enhance my expertise, I am currently pursuing a degree in Computing and IT through the Open University, combining practical experience with academic education.
Outside of work, I enjoy 3D design, restoring classic cars, and, most importantly, spending quality time with my partner and my son, Luca.
Oliver Rani - Marketing & Social Media Executive
I’ve been passionate about digital marketing since starting my studies in 2014. After earning a Marketing degree from Brunel University in 2017, I’ve developed expertise across key areas such as social media, email marketing, SEO, and data analytics. These experiences have allowed me to adapt and grow in an industry that’s constantly evolving.
I joined Infomed in 2024, where working closely with the team and expert faculty has expanded my appreciation for the medical field. This role has given me unique insights into social media marketing within the healthcare sector. What truly motivates me is the opportunity to create impactful content and support medical consultants on their CPD journey, helping them stay at the forefront of their professions.
Outside of work, I’m a proud Arsenal supporter who enjoys reading and traveling. My ultimate goal is to visit every continent, embracing the diversity and richness each one offers.
Aarzin Todiwala - Marketing & Technology Executive
As a part-time Digital Marketing Executive, I combine my love for technology and creativity to find innovative ways to connect with people online. I’m especially passionate about building SEO-friendly websites and using tools like Google Analytics to uncover insights that help brands grow.
I joined Infomed in 2024, where I work with the Infomed team to turn ideas into strategies. These strategies aim to make a real difference, helping medical consultants navigate our website and the digital world with confidence.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying up-to-date with the latest trends in social media and digital marketing, which led me to recently complete my post-graduate studies. I also like cooking new recipes, and spending time with friends and family.
