Update for the General Anaesthetist 2020

The practical, two-day comprehensive and intensive update on core topics and what’s new for Consultant and Career Grade Anaesthetists!

Postponement of the Update for the General Anaesthetist 20200

Following the lockdown and travelling restrictions and especially the social distancing measures and NHS instructions, in consultation with course directors and faculty, we have now agreed to postpone this course until the early part of next year with the same programme but online. This is what we have been advised to do as the COVID-19 situation, though coming to a new normal, is expected to be more settled in early 2021.

We will inform you of a suitable alternative date for this Webinar (online course) by the end of June following final assessment of the COVID-19 situation, NHS advise and discussion with the faculty.

It has been challenging for us to re-organise the schedule and re-format the courses in the current circumstances. However, in the last few weeks, regardless our heavy financial limitations, we have built up a robust online streaming service that has allowed us to run planned courses as webinars for psychiatrists, intensivists, anaesthetists, radiologists. The courses have the necessary technology arrangements in place that enable lecturers to deliver their lectures remotely with delegates joining the course remotely and with the facility to ask questions verbally using their mics or by using the Q&A and chat facility available with the webinar software, it is all very simple and easy to use, to be honest, this is the way for the future of CPD training.

At Infomed we are becoming an online training provider as we cannot have venue-based courses for at least six months. A lot is going on behind the scenes.

I am sure you would appreciate that we are putting all our resources available, working from home and in isolation, and doing our very best to continue with our training programme as soon as possible; please keep an eye on this website as it makes available a series of online lectures (free of charge) and you can see radiology, intensive care and mental health webinars for all doctors to view.

Thank you for your understanding and we hope you are keeping well and safe during this difficult time.

COVID-19 Update

Further to the COVID-19 rapidly evolving situation, Government national travelling restrictions and NHS cancellation of study/teaching leave Infomed has postponed and will re-arrange the delivery of the pre-planned course as they cannot take place in central London for the obvious pandemic restrictions and non-availability of venues.

This course will subsequently be made available LIVE (from the Infomed Online platform). Later in June, we will assess the COVID-19 situation, NHS advise and situation with the faculty; and come back to you with a suitable alternative date. In the meantime, please keep an eye on the website and emails that you will receive from Infomed in the next few days/weeks.

If you were already booked on, you will be automatically transferred to the new date or transferred to a course of your choice within the next 18 months.

There are many key benefits from attending our courses online, to name a few:

  • You will have the same great teaching provided direct to the comfort of your home/office.
  • You will not need to travel to London (saving on expensive travel and hotel costs).
  • We provide full two-way interaction with all faculty and the rest of the audience for discussion on the topics and cases
  • Immediate access to online evaluation of the course and subsequently, your FULL CPD Certificate.
