Dr Maureen Dumba
I was appointed as a consultant diagnostic neuroradiologist at NHNN in 2021 following general radiology training and a subspeciality neuroradiology fellowship at Imperial (St Mary’s, Hammersmith and Charing Cross hospitals, London). Having trained at a leading neurosciences centre I have experience in all aspects of neuroimaging, including advanced techniques.
My clinical expertise is supplemented with a keen interest in teaching. Away from regular departmental sessions with both neuroradiology fellows and other specialties such as neurologists and anaesthetists, I am regularly invited to speak at national and international courses. Examples include for the European Society of Radiology and the European Society of Emergency Radiology.
I have recently been selected to join the RCR’s iRefer Review Expert Panel for neuroradiology guidelines. My governance experience has seen me appointed as Chair of our departmental Radiology Events and Learning Meeting.
Developing the next generation of radiologists is important and I am enthusiastic about mentoring and outreach programmes, such as Rad Reach. In particular, increasing representation for BAME communities within neuroradiology is a passion.
